This month’s Coffee Talks will explore three “consciousness connection” topics and look at whether or not there is anything to these reported phenomena, or if it’s simply all in our heads. First up is Astrology on April 4, something that has been around since ancient Greek times (and, in one form or another, since even before then). Did you know that over 90% of people in a recent media poll said that their astrological horoscope is one of the first things they look at in the morning? Or how about that astrology has been used by several different U.S. Presidents to actually plan and consider actions from the White House? It’s true! But what do you believe?
On April 18 we’re exploring Dreams in our Coffee Talk, and questioning whether our dreams actually have any meanings to them, or they are just our imaginations at work when we’re asleep. Few people think that our dreams are meaningless, and in fact even the most famous psychologists of our time believed that our dreams held deep meanings in our lives and could be used to discover insight into ourselves.
Our last topic of “conscious connection” for this month will be on April 25 as we look at DejaVu. Everyone has experienced a moment of DejaVu – feeling as though you remember having done, said, or saw the exact same thing. Although this is a common occurrence, no one knows for sure what the cause is. Some suggest it is something like an accident of neurons in our brains, others think it may actually be a form of clairvoyance – the psychic ability of foreseeing future event possibilities.
Coffee Talks take place every Wednesday evening from 7pm – 9pm at our Research Center at 284 Racebrook Road in Orange, CT. They are open to everyone! For more information visit our Online Calendar or our Facebook Fan Page.
