November is another busy month for our library outreach programs! First, we are excited to be hosting a two-part program with the Case Memorial Library (176 Tyler City Road) in Orange, on Monday, November 7, and Thursday, November 10. On the 7th we’ll be presenting a multimedia lecture on the unusual stories that we’ve heard, and researched, from around the town of Orange. Then, on the 10th, we’ll be leading a lantern-led tour through historical Orange Center, where we’ll point out some of the buildings and discuss the stories we’ve heard from them, as well as our theories on what we believe may cause haunting activity to take place. Then, we’ll lead the group through the Orange Center Cemetery to point out the historical significance and appeal that cemeteries have. Lantern walks will take place at 5:30pm, 7:00pm, and 8:30pm.
The following week on Tuesday, November 15, we’ll be presenting another multimedia program at the Trumbull Public Library (33 Quality Street) on Vampires in New England. Today, these creatures may only be thought of as creations of Hollywood and fantasy, but not too long ago they were taken much more seriously… DEADLY seriously in fact.
These programs are free and open to all.
