With the interest in paranormal and other “fringe” topics reaching an all-time high there are countless books, videos, television shows, and other resources all claiming to provide information on these incidents. Unfortunately, as with any popular subject, many of these are poorly written – in some cases, even dangerously so – and some are put out only to make a buck, and many are not even written by anyone with background or experience in actual paranormal study. Over the years our organization has amassed several different collections of resources which we personally use and know are the best available. Our organization also works closely with publishers and producers, so we are constantly receiving new materials to review and present to our members.
Many of the items in our Library are ones that you won’t find on library or bookstore shelves. This is because some are either independently published, older out-of-circulation items. In some cases the items we have are not even available to the general public. We have always attempted to make as much of our library open to the public, though that has been difficult in the past before we had a place of our own for them to be on regular display. At the library there is a searchable database of materials we have available. The Library we have now provides access to only the best materials on the fields our organization studies. In addition to having the Library items available for use, we will be hosting author talks, book series, and other discussion programs as part of the Library efforts.
