Is the supernatural and mysterious your cup of tea? Want to learn more about these strange subjects? Always wondered how an organization like ours investigates these phenomena? Now’s your chance (actually, three chances) as we’ve been invited by the Foothills Continuing Education program in Litchfield County, Connecticut, to develop a new class called “Exploring Unsolved Mysteries” that will be offered in Litchfield, Thomaston, and Southbury this October, and registration is now open!
The goal of the class is to present the theory, history, equipment and practice behind investigation of unexplained mysteries covering the subjects of UFOs, Ghosts, Metaphysics, and Cryptozoology (strange creatures). Participants will learn how to objectively examine mysterious events, and a specific focus will be paid to the presentation and discussion of local phenomena. Those who go through the class will also have the opportunity to become members of the SGRA at a discounted price, as well as continue their studies through classes and events hosted by our organization.
The class will consist of multimedia presentations, interactive discussions, and some online materials that will be available to participants. You never know, there may even be a special guest or two that will join the class for discussions. In addition, examples used in class will come directly from the SGRA archive, so participants will have a unique opportunity to learn about this subject through examination of actual case files from local stories and locations. Each class lasts 4 – 6 sessions, and registration must be done through the Foothills program.
As these classes are part of the continuing education program there is a charge for each (Southbury — $52.00 / Thomaston & Litchfield — $65.00).
