The “ParaChat” is our very own exclusive online chat room where visitors can join in live discussions with SGRA Staff, special guest hosts, and other likeminded people from anywhere in the world. It has become a great resource for us to exchange information, engage in live interactive conversations. For those of you unfamiliar with using a chat room – it’s very easy – this page will provide you with an overview of and how to participate. There is no special software needed to access the chat, and if you can write an email or visit a website, you can quickly figure out the chat.
When you open the chat page you will be prompted to enter a Nick (user name) – you do not have to enter a password. After entering your name, simply click the “Connect” button. Once you are in the ParaChat you’re ready to go! On the right you’ll see a listing of participants. Anyone listed in green is an SGRA Administrator, and anyone with “SGRA” before or after their username is one of our Staff. To begin chatting, simply enter your text in the box at the bottom and click enter or “Send” See the images below for screenshots of the ParaChat – Click to enlarge them.

** IMPORTANT CHAT TIPS **
Our simple rules: Be respectful to other chatters. Don’t engage in arguing with users, it floods the chatroom and makes it hard for others to talk. Remember everyone is allowed to have their own opinions, even if they don’t share yours. Use caps only for emphasis; don’t write everything in all caps. Never post personal information in a chat. Most importantly, enjoy your time in the chat rooms and never take things too seriously. Chat etiquette is something we all should use.
You do not have to use your real name as the username, however your privacy is protected in the chat room and no one can view any personal information about you. We also do not keep any records of chat participant’s information.
If you have any problems using the chat, or have a question for one of our SGRA Staffers, you can simply type (!) or (*) or type “question” or “help” and we can contact you via a private message to help you out.
